Even though back dated in December Kao messaged me for Korean BBQ for dinner, but I couldn’t go that night because of work and already having gotten dinner for that night so we decided to go the next day. On Sunday. We decided to go to the fairly new Seoul Sista that opened in October.
You have to reserve a table in advance because they are very busy! Which really showed while we were there. Reservations can be made on their website www.seoulsista.nl
So this place is a Korean all-you-can-eat bbq. Meaning you can order premade dishes like bibimbap but mostly you can order a variety of meat, fish and vegetables to grill on the small grill based in the middle of your table.

As this was our first time visiting this restaurant we came in with a fresh eye. First of all the small billboard thing I thought was amazing, clear and clean. No messing about, nothing super fancy but something you would usually see in Asia. The entire interior looks sleek with metals, black tables and seats, copper accents and plants. Their eye catcher is obviously their huge mural done by Korean artist Chris Shim (INSTAGRAM).
We got sat down and ordered Soju and beer from the very friendly waitress before we decided on our first dishes. Everything came rather quick and soon enough we were eating until our belly was full. The small bowls of extra food were free with our all you can eat and so were the lettuce leaves. Which we ran out of fairly quickly and we must have had 4 or 5 baskets of leafs in the end. Whenever we needed anything the staff was amazingly sweet and some times even chatted with us a little bit. The small grill was split into two, one side covered with a baking sheet the other just the grill, anything that was marinated was too be cooked on the baking sheet. Whenever the paper or the grill top was too dirty we could ask for a fresh grill or paper.
What for me was the only downside to this restaurant is the table size… it was small, very small, considering you get to order between 6 to 10 dishes each , the table was filled in no time with our drinks, warm pre-made dishes, the many plates with meat/fish/vegetables still to be cooked and the 6 side dishes.
We had an absolutely amazing night here, the variety was big and the pre-made dishes were just as amazing as our own cooked meals.
My restaurant rating
4 out of 5
Though of course a little pricey in comparison to other restaurants, you can eat until you burst so it’s worth the money, the people here are great, the food is great. I love this concept and I love being in charge of grilling my own food. I look forward to coming back to Seoul Sista really soon.
