Starting out under the name Alt Senior, TwinkleStar has been playing since 2008 and active at any national and international music festivals. Smooth and with that perfect Emo/Poprock sound and a strong female vocalist and just recently having send out another rocking single. TwinkleStar is rather big both in China as other countries so let’s give them a listen shall we.
Formed in 2008 by Kelsey and Zhang Shuai, joined by The LC and Gaowei in 2012, they’re viewed as the most influential Emo/Poprock band from Beijing, China. They’ve played hundreds of Festivals, Including Summer Sonic in Japan. There isn’t much to be found in English about them however and it’s very frustrating because I really enjoy their work!
