Album Review: HIGHER BROTHERS – Five Stars

Not too long ago the music video for HIGHER BROTHERS’ song “16 hours” and “Gong Xi Fa Cai” came out and on the 22nd of februari their new album was released worldwide. It’s called Five Stars as we wrote about them before (click here for that introduction) They have just announced an European tour so we couldn’t hold back and HAD to listen to the new album and review it for you guys.

The album has a total of 14 songs, of which 7 have a featured artist. Artists like Ski Mask the Slump God, Denzel Curry and even Soulja Boy collaborate on this album. You can really hear the influences they got from touring America a lot last year.

Five Stars (Click the songs to watch the (lyric) video!)

  1. 16 Hours
  2. Open It Up
  3. Flexing So Hard
  4. One Punch Man (feat. Ski Mask the Slump God & Denzel Curry)
  5. Do It Like Me (feat. J.I.D)
  6. Top (feat. Soulja Boy)
  7. Sunshine
  8. We Talkin Bout (feat. KOHH)
  9. Gong Xi Fa Cai
  10. Won’t Believe (feat. ScHoolboy Q)

  13. No More (feat. NIKI)
  14. Zombie (feat. Rich Brian)

I really do enjoy this new album, it’s HIGHER BROTHERS with some extra influences from the American HIPHOP scene and I know I’ll play the album a lot. For those really into hiphop I really recommend you to listen to HIGHER BROTHERS. It’s hard to pick a favourite song but if I really have to choose a number one is either “Flexing So Hard” or “16 Hours”. I keep switching them all the time.
