Artist: Jupiter (+EU tour!)

By bringing traditional Metal to the versatile approach of Japanese Visual-kei, Jupiter transcends genre borders which makes their music really interesting. They are heading to 6 different countires in Europe for a special tour but who are they exactly? Let’s find out!

Jupiter was formed in 2013 by four of five members of the famous band Versailles (2007–2012, reunion in 2015). With a name based on astrology and symbolizing good luck, the band continued the work of Versailles in a new outfit.

Current members are:
Kuze (vocals / since 2018)
Hizaki (guitar / founding member)
Teru (guitar / founding member)
Daisuke (drums / since 2017)

In July 2018, Jupiter was joined by their new vocalist KUZE (ex. Concerto Moon) who adds a tremendous voice to the ensemble. Kuze has many experience in the Power Metal/Heavy Metal world and with the song Bring me out on the band’s latest single Theory of Evolution, he also contributed with his songwriting skills, adding yet another dimension to the eclectic band. Jupiter also has a new drummer since April 2017: Daisuke (ex. Okinawan Screamo,  ROAC). At the same time, ex-KILLANETH bassist Rucy had joined the band, but suddenly left in January 2019 so the band is currently searching for a new bassist. Looking for talent first and foremost, Jupiter notably don’t limit their casting of new members to the Visual-kei scene (which they are born and still thrive in) and they are open to multiple scenes.

Jupiter’s music is a mix of Symphonic Metal, Power Metal and Visual-kei. By bringing traditional Metal to the versatile approach of Japanese Visual-kei, Jupiter transcends genre borders which makes their music very interesting for a diverse audience. Similair bands are Versailles (JP), X Japan (JP), Blind Guardian, Stratovarius and Rhapsody of Fire.

Jupiter worked very hard the past few months for their third full-length album, Zeus ~Legends Never Die~, which has been released on March 13th, 2019. They are looking forward to blast away your ears during the upcoming European tour. Jupiter promises a heart-pounding new album and a spectacular tour: “Zeus ~Legends Never Die~ is going to be a very artistic album, that can be enjoyed by everyone during our shows.”

Jupiter – Zeus Tour -EUROPE- 2019
Beside having a big Japanese fanbase they also have a lot of international fans so it’s no surprise they know how to give an amazing show for everyone. Jupiter went on European tour in 2014, performed in Mexico City in November 2015, and returned to South America for a tour in 2017. They had only 3 shows back in 2014 with their Jupiter TOUR 2014「CLASSICAL ELEMENT」-EUROPE- but now they are coming to ten cities in six different countries with their upcoming Jupiter Zeus Tour -EUROPE- in May 2019! For this European Tour Jupiter will be supported by five fabulous support acts: fesFE[M] from Japan, AETERNITAS and VII ARC from Germany, Season of Ghosts from UK, and Lightning from France.
