Kim Se-Jeong, better known as Sejeong formerly in the group I.O.I and Gugudan. Born in Gimje, North Jeolla Province to a single mother and lived with her and her brother at her aunts house after moving to Anyang Gyeonggi, She was auditioned in the tv show K-Pop star 2 in 2012 at the age of 16, made it to the last round but was eliminated in the end but in 2016 she represented Jellyfish Entertainment on the reality survival show Produce 101 along with trainees Kim Na-young and Kang Mi-na and Sejeong survived as highest ranking for several episodes and she joined the new line up op I.O.I before a year later she joined KBS shows Talents for Sale and she released the OST for the drama The Legend of The Blue Sea and started acting herself in 2017, In March she released her first solo album Plant which contains 5 of her solo works, which she had written and produced herself.

With only five songs, what can really go wrong, the album in itself is very chill and slow, Plant and hopes for tomorrow really have that drama OST feeling and her voice matches it really well.
SKYLINE and Swim Away are a bit more uptempo and it feels like they’re good songs for the spring days coming. I would definitly recommend this album to people who like the dreamy soft type of music. It’s very relaxing. This album really strays away from the KPOP vibe that Gugudan and I.O.I have and it really feels like a good start to an amazing solo career for Se-jeong.
